How do I start using Smartag?
New Users
  1. Input your preferred activity name into the activity name text-box,
  2. Select an activity Due Date
  3. Click Create Activity
  4. You will be taken to the page of the activity you just created
  5. You can invite activity members by clicking "invite people to activity", then typing in their email addresses (since you created that activity)
  6. You can start sharing chat messages, creating and uploading files, having video chats, syncing your Google calendar, etc
  7. You can also assign sub−activities to team members
  8. Subsequently, you can create new activities by clicking on the "Create New Activity" hyperlink at the top left hand side under the Smartag logo
  9. Welcome!


Returning Users
  1. After Logging in, your most recently accessed activity page is displayed
  2. You can invite activity members by Clicking Invite People to Activity and typing in their email addresses (if that activity was created by you) or you can switch to another activity
  3. You can start sharing chat messages, creating and uploading files, having video chats, syncing your Google calendar, etc
  4. You can also assign sub−activities to team members
  5. Subsequently, you can create new activities by clicking on the Create New Activity hyperlink at the top left hand side under the Smartag logo
  6. You can continue using Smartag.
How do I assign sub−activities to members of my activities?
  1. Click on an Activity you created at the Left Hand Activity List Table.
  2. Click on sub−activities at the right−hand side of the activity page. (If the activity was not created by you, clicking on sub−activities will only show your on−going sub−activities and your completed sub−activities and 3 to 10 will not be available to you).
  3. Click New to Assign a sub−activity to an activity member
  4. Type in the Sub−activity item, the start and end dates and the member to whom you want to assign the sub−activity (The assignee has to already be a member of the current activity)
  5. Click Create Sub−Activity to assign the Sub−Activity
  6. Click All to view all sub−activities for that Activity
  7. Click the WIP icon (3 Gears)/Percentage to re−assign a tast that a team mate cannot complete either due to time constraints, lack of capability or other reasons
  8. Click Status to view the staus of each sub−activity, the assignee involved, the time spent and time remaining, to re−assign the sub−activity or to flag a sub−activity as completed
  9. Click on Members to view the sub−activities assigned to each member (to whom a sub−activity has been assigned)
  10. Click on the WIP icon (3 Gears) to re−assign a sub−activity.
How do I initiate a video call?
Video call can be initiated in three(3) ways:
  • From an Activity Page (Activity Chat − All Members Allowed)
  • From a Personal Message
  • From the Video Page
A. Initiating a Video Call from an Activity Chat
  1. Click the video call icon at the chat area. An alert message will be shown prompting you to confirm the video call initiation.
  2. Click OK and you will be redirected to the conference page. The page will also prompt you to allow access to camera and/or audio, ensure you click on the ALLOW/CONTINUE button to proceed.

B. Initiating a Personal Video Call or Personal Chat
  1. Click on Contacts at the Left Hand Side Menu to invoke the contacts callout.
  2. Hover on a particular contact name and you can initiate a call by clicking on the video icon. You can also initiate a call at the private messaging area by clicking on the chat icon and then clicking on the video icon at the top Left Hand Side of the personal chat window.

C. Initiating a Video Chat through the video call page
  1. Click on the Video Call icon at the Left Hand Side Menu
  2. Click the tab "Invite for a video chat"
  3. Enter the email address of the person(s) you desire to have a video chat with and a link will be sent to their email addresses asking them to join the conference.
  4. Click on Live Meetings to View the list of live meetings and links to join them.
  5. Click on Schedule a conference to schedule a video call for a later date. The meeting link will be automatically pasted on the relevant task page at the right time and all invited members will be reminded of the meeting at the right time.The Call history will show a list of recent video calls made in the past.
How do I sync my calendar with Google Calendar?
  1. Click Calendar on the Left Hand Side Menu.
  2. Click Sync with Google Calendar
  3. Select/Enter you Google Log in Details.
  4. Wait until the calendars are synced.
How do I initiate a Private Chat with a contact?
  1. Click on Contacts at the Left Hand Side Menu to invoke the contacts callout.
  2. Hover on a particular contact name and you can initiate a private chat by clicking on the chat icon.
  3. Start chatting away by typing in the text box of the chat window.
How do I view all files shared on activities relevant to me?
  1. Click on Files at the Left Hand Side Menu to launch the File Manager
  2. Click on the red show more (+) sign at the Left Hand Side of each activity name to reveal the files associated with that activity
  3. You can then save single or multiple files to drop box
How do I Use the Effectiveness feature?
For each activity, you can view how effective each of your team mates has been with their sub−tasks
  1. Click on Dashboard at the Left Hand Side Menu to launch the Dashboard.
  2. Select the Activity Name for which you want to know the level of effectiveness
  3. Select the Activity Member you're interested in
  4. Select the Relevant Dates
  5. Click View to find out how Effective that Activity Member has been on his/her sub−activities (The feature works only if the activity member had sub−activities )
  6. The chart shows effectiveness for each sub−activity and the summary table shows the details for each sub−activity.
How do I set personal to dos for myself?
  1. Click on Dashboard at the Left Hand Side Menu to launch the Dashboard.
  2. Type in the name of the new to do.
  3. Select the Activity Member you're interested in
  4. Type in the deadline date
  5. Click Add and the To−do Item gets added to your list of to dos and to your calendar.
  6. You can then Edit the To−do Item or Delete it

How do I enable JavaScript on my selected browser?
Caveat - Ensure that all chosen browsers are Javascript-enabled and that they accept cookies.
Mobile
Chrome for Android:
  • Open the Chrome Menu (icon with three vertical dots on top right hand side of mobile browser or icon with three horizontal lines at the top right hand side of the mobile browser)
  • Select Settings
  • Select Site Settings
  • Select JavaScript
  • Switch the JavaScript button on

Chrome for iOS:
  • Click Here -- (You cannot adjust JavaScript settings on Chrome for iOS) or
  • Click Here (Chrome can use WKWebView and has access to an optimizing JavaScript Engine) - No need to disable the JavaScript setting.

Safari for iOS:
  • Select the Settings icon on the iPhone home screen.
  • Select Safari
  • Select Advanced
  • Move the JavaScript toggle to the right so that it highlights green

Firefox for Android:
  • In the web browser, type or paste about:config and tap the Go arrow.
  • Type jav into the search box and wait for Firefox to show the list of preferences that contain java
  • Select Advanced
  • Check under javascript enabled to confirm that it says true. If it says false and shows a Reset button, tap Reset to restore the value to true.

Desktop:

  • Click on Settings
  • Click Show Advanced Settings
  • Under Privacy, Click on Content Settings
  • Under JavaScript, Select the Radio buttons to Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)
  • Click on Manage Exceptions and Allow Exceptional use of JavaScript for Smartag (Web or Mobile) if need be.

Firefox
  • In the address bar, type "about:config" (with no quotes), and press Enter.
  • Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
  • In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
  • Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
  • To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat these steps.
How do I Accept Cookies on my selected browser?
Mobile:

  • Open the Chrome Menu (icon with three vertical dots on top right hand side of mobile browser or icon with three horizontal lines at the top right hand side of the mobile browser)
  • Select Settings
  • Select Site Settings
  • Select Cookies
  • Tick the Check box to Allow third-party cookies

  • Select Settings
  • Select Content Settings
  • Swipe/Switch Accept Cookies to On

  • Click the Menu button and choose options
  • Select the Privacy panel
  • Set Firefox will: to Use customer settings for history
  • Check mark Accept cookies from sites to enable cookies, and uncheck it to disable them
  • Make sure Accept third party cookies is not set to never
  • Choose how long cookies are allowed to be stored (Keep until)
  • Click OK and changes will be automatically saved.

How do I enable pop-ups on on my selected browser (Pop-up is needed to view user profile)?
Mobile:
Chrome for Android:
  • Open the Chrome Menu (icon with three vertical dots on top right hand side of mobile browser or icon with three horizontal lines at the top right hand side of the mobile browser).
  • Select Settings
  • Select Site Settings
  • Select Pop-ups
  • Switch/Swipe the Pop-ups button to On or just allow pop-ups for Smartagapp.

Chrome for iOS:
  • Open the Chrome Menu (icon with three vertical dots on top right hand side of mobile browser or icon with three horizontal lines at the top right hand side of the mobile browser)
  • Select Settings
  • Select Content Settings
  • Select Block Pop-ups
  • Switch/Swipe the Pop-ups button to Off or just allow pop-ups for Smartagapp.

Can I make chrome my default browser on iphone?
Not except you install some other apps or jailbreak your iphone. Hence, when you receive an invitation to an activity on Smartag via email on an iphone, rather than click on the hyperlink to launch Smartag directly from iphone (and thus from Safari browser by default), long-press the hyperlink and copy it to a Chrome browser on your iphone to get the best user experience because Safari might not provide the best user experience for Smartag.
